Montclair Community Pre-K is the heart of a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive community. With a strong focus on a play based curriculum a discovery playscape approach fit their dreams of the ideal play space. The design is organized around a loop path with mature trees and six themed play zones.
The Edible Garden – Where classroom exploration moves outside to edible plants
Exploration Yard – A loose parts building zone for free play
The Discovery Garden – With sensory planting and imaginative play
Performance Grove – Where a stage and instruments offer performance & musical play
Artist Nook – An outdoor art studio with a verity of mediums
Adventure Playscape – A climbing, swinging, and spinning zone
Each zone offer fully accessible play experiences that exercise the mind, body and imagination. This preschool focused site is a public park on evenings and weekends, expending the communities recreation options.
