This steep forested site in West Linn OR is tucked right into a neighborhood. The close vicinity to the forest and the creek that divides the property is a great asset for neighbors, especially young people. The new park amenities include a multi level play area, picnic space, basketball court, trails and a bridge. In the forested setting wood play equipment fit nicely. The City also used logs from trees removed throughout the park district. The equipment is a combination of custom pieces and off the shelf play equipment. Using both types of elements provides challenges and excitement for 2-12 year old’s and their families. Trail connections were realigned to provide direct access into and forested zone of the park as well as offering spaces for visitors to sit and enjoy the setting.
