Check out our elementary school green schoolyard tour. These school grounds have been upgraded to include outdoor gathering, learning gardens, nature play and more!

Utilizing school grounds for small group learning could help us as education shifts to address current global health concerns. Throughout each of these examples are spaces where teachers could meet with small groups for learning, reading and hands-on exploration. As we consider the new face of education, lets make it greener!

Here is a great article about prioritizing play as school reopens. It is critical for student physical and mental health. Some have been suggesting an environment where student are confined to their single desks with no lunch room, PE or room changes all day. We would rather move the opposite direction and let kids run free outside and engage in hands-on small group learning!

Here is one example from the view. This lovely space has a small stage, flexible seating under cover and an expanded stone amphitheater area surrounding the central space.  I could see three small groups in this space.
